According to sources close to the situation, 13 people including the gunman was killed by gunfire. 

Reports indicates the 34 year old Aaron Alexis went into the Washington Navy Yard and allegedly killed 12 people before he was killed.

Law Enforcement Officials are now investigating the killings to determine a motive.
