A little pass midnight, a 24 year old man dressed in tactical gear tossed a gas grenade into the Aurora Colorado Movie Theater during the screening of "The Dark Knight Rises".
The man later identified as James Holmes was armed with a AR-15 Assault Rifle a 12 Gauge Shotgun and a 40 Caliber Glock Handgun and allegedly opened fire inside the movie theater killing 12 people and wounding 72 others, some critically.
The Aurora Police Department responded within minutes and James Holmes was arrested without resistance.
